There are 10 days left to leave your comment on Trump administration proposals to gut the Endangered Species Act. I know this kind of thing can feel pointless, and I'm not claiming it will change their plans. What it can do, as we saw with public lands sales, is give cover to politicians. Popularity still matters, and the ESA is incredibly popular.

Support is over 80%, at a time in this country when nothing gets 80%. It isn't perfect, but it's one of the best laws we have. It's worth protecting.
