Consider that, if you've been blocked by someone for "just asking a simple question", it wasn't just a simple question.
Your question doesn't exist in a vacuum.
The "just a simple question" was so unpleasant that the person would rather block you than communicate.
Maybe think about that for a bit, and have some self-reflection on your own behaviour.
