#WritersCoffeeClub Dec. 5: What's a no-longer popular trend in wwriting you'd like to see make a comeback?

Beautiful language. I'm tired of so many books using over-simplified langauge.

Less explanation. I should be able to figure out through context, and if I don't know a particular word or referenece, I can damn well look it up my own damn self. I don't want everything explained. I want to be invited into the curiosity of learning more.
