If universities are key to economic development & also a major base for the development of work on artificial intelligence, then the migration of computer science academics (leaving behind a university system that has been defunded & sinking into ever deeper finical crisis), should be a concern for those seeking to build a UK AI-based economic strategy...

Is it another area where the UK will fail to consolidate on early (research-led) success due to departing researchers?
