@jbz This is really amazing. Unreal Tournament 2004 was more fun than I can even put into words for a game of its type. And I just don't even think today there has been anything quite like it. Especially the fast pacing.

I wonder what they mean to do with it. The game actually seems to run just fine on modern systems despite being such an ancient engine. (I guess it would be the second generation Unreal Engine? Or is it even still the first generation, just enhanced that much?)

Would be really nice if they gave it a good souping up. Modern renderers like Vulkan, modern high res textures, maybe build up a bit on the vehicle modes (they're lots of fun, but feel a bit unbalanced and underdeveloped.)

@jbz @adrienne this is amazing timing, as I just started up a new UT2004 dedicated server (via the linux version of the community InstaServer package, which fires up alright if you feed it Steam’s 32-bit compatibility libraries) two days ago and I was wishing it was a bit easier for players to get ahold of the client
