#WritersCoffeeClub Dec 2: What do you dislike as reader and thus avoid in your own work?
Loose threads. I'm a big proponent of Chekov's Gun and I get annoyed when a writer introduces something that is immediately dropped. The narrative is the magnifying glass the writer is applying to the world of the story so if you keep moving it to focus on, say, Bill the Pony, I'm gonna get bored right quick.
