#AskFedi The battery on my elderly Thinkpad (E550) has finally retired. A replacement also refuses to charge. Charger not the issue, so looks like the onboard charging circuit needs replacing; sourcing someone to do this for me will take some time. Meanwhile it runs on AC power sans battery, just sloooowly - can run vim, cannot stream either to or from Twitch. Stock charger is 65W and it turns out that 90W and 135W chargers exist. Anecdotally, I may get better performance that way. True or not?
