On this morning's walk I met one of these amazing fungi, passed a favourite tree and caught a glimpse of the city.

#Fungiverse

Looking up the grey trunk of a large gum tree towards its sparse leafy cap and the blue sky beyond.

The grey-blue hint of a city skyline off in the distance through eucalyptus trees.

The fruit body of a fungus poking up out of the ground. This one is small, a few centimetres along its longest axis. It's red and forms a three dimensional shape out of a pentagonal / hexagonal lattice. An internet search tells me it could be a Clathrus ruber, or latticed stinkhorn.
