#WordWeavers November 30: While writing, do you consider your topics to avoid book bannings or fallout of any sort?

Writing erotica and erotic romance, I'm generally not getting shelved in libraries in general. It doesn't particularly matter that what I tend to write about is a lot less troubling than, say, George R.R. Martin or E.L. James. When you're indie, you have a lot less flexibility and protection. There are things that are pretty vanilla that I'm more likely to get in trouble with Amazon for because a lot of what I'm writing is queer and they discriminate against queer content.

I also have to assume that as fascism increases in my country, I'm more and more likely to experience direct outcomes relating to the mere fact of writing adult fiction.

In short, for me, my books are essentially pre-banned as it is. For fallout, if I'm doing something that harms other marginalized people, I want to know about it and not do it. The mere fact that people enjoy adult fiction is something that some will find harmful. They're wrong.
