I'll say it again: While much of the commentary on the Autumn Budget seems to be framing it as a win for benefits recipients over working people; its worth pointing out:
in-work benefits are not really a benefit to workers they are a subsidy to low-wage firms propping up their profits...
actually the real winners are those firms unprepared to pay much above the minimum wage for work, knowing their workers can garner a range of benefits to allow them to survive on low pay!
