I understand the core idea of the message, but that doesn't mean code can't address social problems.
For example, there are several projects that use public data, such as those made by @okfn and and its international network. There's also the learning and teaching aspect of using data to better understand what could or should be changed in public policies.
The software apps we use to build the #Fediverse are based on code. Someone had to create it, and I'm sure those who took the initiative were aware of the harm that big tech social media can cause.
