The House Energy and Commerce Committee released a big pile of bills they're looking at during a committee hearing on December 2nd, 2025:

-(Draft), Reducing Exploitative Social Media Exposure for Teens (RESET) Act
-H.R. 2657, Sammy’s Law
-H.R. 3149, App Store Accountability Act
-H.R. 1623, Shielding Children's Retinas from Egregious Exposure on the Net (SCREEN) Act
-H.R. 6290, Safe Social Media Act
-H.R. 6253, Algorithmic Choice and Transparency Act
-H.R. 6259, No Fentanyl on Social Media Act
-H.R. 6289, Promoting a Safe Internet for Minors Act
-(Draft), Safeguarding Adolescents From Exploitative (SAFE) Bots Act
-(Draft), Kids Internet Safety Partnership Act
-H.R. 5360, AI Warnings And Resources for Education (AWARE) Act
-H.R. 6265, Safer Guarding of Adolescents from Malicious Interactions on Network Games (GAMING) Act
-(Draft), Assessing Safety Tools for Parents and Minors Act
-H.R. 6273, Stop Profiling Youth and (SPY) Kids Act
-H.R. 6257, Safe Messaging for Kids Act

Notes:
-This is not a vote on the bills. This is just which bills they'll be considering for the final "child safety" package. It's unlikely ALL of them will make it into the final package.
-The House version of KOSA removes the highly controversial "duty of care" provision. This sets up a showdown with Senate GOP who want it in.
The most problematic bills are as follows:
-RESET Act (under 16 social media ban, doesn't mandate AV)
-Sammy's Law (surveillance on minors)
-SCREEN Act (Most broad AV law of them all)
-App Store Accountability Act (AV for App stores)
-KOSA (especially if the Senate gets their way)
-Parents over Platforms (AV for mobile apps, similar to the App Store Accountability Act)
