Hmm, apparently the amount that you can put in a cash ISA is going down, but the amount you can put in a stocks and shares ISA is remaining constant.
Here's the fun thing: stocks and shares ISAs are allowed to pay interest on cash deposits (and most do).
I foresee an increase in the number of 'stocks and shares' ISAs that allow trading a very restrictive set of shares and pay about the same interest as a cash ISA.
Or possibly not. You can move money between ISAs, so I don't currently see a reason that you can't pay £20K into a stocks and shares ISA and then immediately move the money to a cash ISA, unless there's some small print that hasn't yet been announced.
