During the late summer, we had a female squirrel who was very obviously nursing young, and spending lots of time eating the seeds I’d leave out for her.

About a month ago she showed up with two babies, one gray and one black morph. For the first few weeks she was always with them. Now they seem to be on their own but always hanging out together.

#Squirrels

Two squirrels are in the process of eating sunflower seeds under a bent iron post with a bird feeder on top. They are both Eastern Gray Squirrels but the one on the left is a black morph. They are young siblings with fluffy tails and spend hours together in my yard each day.
