Here is my Ukraine peace proposal:
1. Putin is sent to The Hague.
2. Russian soldiers leave Ukraine including Crimea.
3. Russia returns all kidnapped Ukrainian children.
4. Russia releases all Ukrainian prisoners.
5. Russia pays damages for everything their war has destroyed.
6. Russia pays damages to Ukrainian families who have lost family members.
7. Russia pays damages to every person who has been tortured, abducted or otherwise criminally mistreated.
8. Ukraine becomes a member of the EU.
Does the Treaty of Versailles mean anything to you, and how did it turn out?

And the European Defence Community standing outside of Nato, making independant decisions. Sanction remain on Russian trade until Putin and his legacy is ended. (Not advocating 3rd party regime change!)

10. EU Take Russian people from EU to form them to lead the democratic shift in Russia
11. EU obtain authority trough those Russian people to reform the political system to enforce Democracy.
12. Ukrainian obtain transparency report on the point 9, 10, 11.

That's a good start. The plan should also include…
• Ukraine is admitted to NATO.
@randahl And of course Ukraine is welcomed into NATO
@randahl The difficulty with this plan is that it presuposes a scenario where Russia loses. If it looses, there is a high likelihood that Russia will fall apart in smaller states, thus no-one to apply # 2-7 to, and that Putin himself will be "disappeared" before he can go to court in Hague.

@thierry_van_kerm I thought about that, but I do not think this is necessary. EU countries would never allow an attack on another EU country.
@randahl You're quite optimistic. As long as European countries do not have a strong European defence system, independent from the unreliable US, I'm afraid, there is no choice but including Ukraine in NATO because of its existing constitution.
And I'm personally for an independent Europe defence system. I'm not a fan of NATO under the US leadership
