The town of Dolores Hidalgo in #Mexico is famed for its pottery and tiles. But when I lived in Guanajuato we used to take pilgrimages there for something else: the ice cream, hawked by vendors from carts in the plaza central. To say they had every flavor imaginable doesn’t go nearly far enough. There were hundreds. Fruits you’d never heard of, but weird shit, too. They had:
alfalfa ice cream
chorizo ice cream
garlic ice cream
roasted grasshopper ice cream
It was an ice cream dare.
