American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) have moved aggressively to ramp up the use and extraction of fossil fuels and impose new obstacles to the development of solar and wind power under the pretext that they are unreliable sources of energy.
This past legislative session, at least 15 “grid reliability” and “grid stability” bills based on ALEC model policies were introduced in statehouses across the country.
