and people were always like that's so dumb like people in the future are just gonna all wear the same thing as if
but like here we are in the future and we've all decided that we shall all regardless of age, gender or social class wear jeans
We all just agreed
We shall wear these pants
Stiff, indigo dyed, copper riveted pants
for everyone

@Taweret I don’t know about you, but once they’re broken in, I find them quite comfortable. In the future I think they’re going to be all the rage.

@Taweret sociologically speaking what evidence do we have that this is not a sign of our worship at the altair of money (in the specific form of the uniform of the gold rush)
@Taweret that said I think so many of those movies are like that because the most logical assumption was that for futuristic stuff to be happening, people would need to be more organized and I guess implicitly assuming that this organization would be in the form of some kind of regimented military group or laboratory or what-have-you.
