If you use a GUI text editor for your $EDITOR or $VISUAL, what do you use?

I am looking for something on MacOS that opens really fast and maybe still has some syntax support and other niceties from an IDE, but it need not be an IDE. Something more programmer-oriented than TextEdit. #TextEditor
