My husband was walking home from the bus stop, and he pulled out his phone to call and tell me to come outside and look at the beautiful sky. And then he turned the corner and saw me already outside, looking at the beautiful sky. It started gold and then turned pink.
#sunset

The same scene, but now the clouds have turned bright pink, and we even see a tiny bit of clear blue close to the horizon

A striking golden sunset, clouds gold close to the horizon and turning to purple as they go up.

And looking the other direction, five minutes apart, as the clouds cleared and the sun broke through.

The same scene, five minutes later. Now the sun hitting the upper portions of the trees is a little more pink, and the sky behind is purply blue.

Looking up at two tall spruce trees covered in snow. The upper portions are golden in the late afternoon sun, and the sky behind is gray.
