Folks, it doesn’t matter that Schumer voted “no”. He got the Dem caucus on board with caving. THEN the caucus figured out who should vote yes to provide cover for D Sens up for reelection in 2026, who might have been in serious danger of being primaried. As for the retiring D Senators, doing their colleagues this favor now serves their interest in post-retirement lobbying access and influence. 1/

I think we should consider a Senate campaign donation boycott until Schumer is replaced. It's not just that he's weak, he's a terrible negotiator and communicator. He has to go.

schumer needs to resign as minority leader and every craven soul who voted yes or supported this travesty needs to be primaried and replaced.

@heidilifeldman I voted for him in his first Senate election in '98. I was so grateful for us to be rid of that weasel D'Amato, but now I find myself regretting that vote.
yeah, but we forget he and D’Amato made Rupert Murdoch and FOXNews possible. i’ve regretted that vote ever since.
the problem is that he and pelosi and others did actual work when they started. they just haven't been paying attention to the changing political landscape.
