I had noticed what Lauren did, that the alt text was no long in a tooltip and wondered why.

But the responses were really helpful for me seeing it as an improvement in accessibility for many.

And probably once I get used to it, it's an improvement for me too, since sometimes I couldn't get the tooltip to stay up to read it, or as other said it covered stuff when I didn't want it to.
