My daughter is collecting opinions on #rewilding impact on communities and colonialism.
Any contributions (and boosts) appreciated.
"The aim of this research is to explore whether there is a relationship between rewilding and colonial perspectives through the lens of two case studies, the Knepp Rewilding Project in South England and the Wildland rewilding initiative in the Scottish Highlands. Rewilding is most commonly defined as restoring the environment to what it may have looked like and the level of biodiversity it would have had before human interference. It typically opposes traditional conservation models that preserve what is there presently. Specifically, this project seeks to explore two research questions: What views and patterns of thinking are shaping the way rewilding is done at the Knepp Estate? & What approaches are reflected in the way rewilding is done at the Wildland Project in Scotland?"
