This image says everything you need to know about the trade war.

This image presents two bubble charts comparing China's export changes between Q3 2024 and Q3 2025.

The first chart, titled "Countries buying less from China," uses purple circles to show decreases. The largest circle represents the United States, with a significant decrease of $38 billion. Other notable decreases include Russia (↓ $5 billion) and Brazil (↓ $690 million). Smaller circles represent declines from Mongolia, Mexico, Panama, Switzerland, and Iran.

A line of text separates the two charts: "But the rest of the world is making up the difference, buying more from China than ever."

The second chart, titled "Countries buying more from China," uses green circles to show increases. The largest increases highlighted are:
* European Union: ↑ $15 billion
* Hong Kong: ↑ $12 billion
* Vietnam: ↑ $11 billion
* Thailand: ↑ $5 billion

Many other green circles of various sizes indicate increases from other countries, including Japan, the U.K., Congo, U.A.E., India, Liberia, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, and Argentina.

@MarciaW yeah I think that's exactly what it is, since trade between Russia and China is done outside the dollar, it's opaque to the west, so they just don't count it
