Hey folks, I wanna throw in on this #FediHire thing. I'm a freelance musician based in Los Angeles in need of more work. I teach guitar and voice, and I record, mix, and master music for others.
I got hit with a one-two punch of long-COVID and autistic burnout In 2021. I'm a former church musician, and I'm queer (you can imagine how that might have gone). I've been scraping by for a long time.

My spouse and I quit a weekly church gig because we got tired of the discrimination we were dealing with as a queer couple. The loss of that income has been a bigger hit to our finances than we'd thought.
Because of my chronic illness, I'm not able to work full-time. My spouse works full-time for the both of us. But our cost of living, with my health needs, is getting higher.

If I had just two more music students I got to see weekly or another song to mix a month, it would help us more than you know.
