We had a progressive DA who committed to prosecute a cop who shot someone in the back (through the patrol car window!). The cops here refused to arrest shoplifters and got together with a bunch of republicans an "moderates" to recall him saying he was responsible for a crime wave. They even paid one of his attorneys 100k (which she denied and then admitted) to come out against him (and then gave her the job and she dropped the charges on the cop)

These people have no limits. Mamdani's battle hasn't even begun to get ugly.
