> Higher blood levels of the essential amino acid phenylalanine (phe) have been documented in patients with HIV-1 infection. They may relate to a diminished conversion of phe to tyrosine (tyr) by the enzyme phenylalanine-hydroxylase (PAH)

I don't have one thing depriving me of tyrosine, I have TWO things. And the hidradenitis was not even the worst one.

It's all connected. Checking HIV and Tyrosine is like opening Pandora's Box. The relationship is very long and very well documented. No wonder extra tyrosine supplementation is working better than medication for me.
