Molten amber.

A view looking down on the sunlit & wind blown surface of Clear Creek in Coralville, Iowa. Looking closely you can see a few spots where the distortion is minimal & objects on the creek bed are visible. Hence, "Clear Creek".

Photograph of the windblown rippled surface of Clear Creek. The creek is about 1-2 ft deep and it's normally clear but the wind distorts the surface leaving most of the bed obscured except for a few locations where the creek bed and object on the bottom are visible. The upper third of the frame is sunlit & the water is a clear brownish-yellow or a light amber while the lower third is shaded & the water is a yellow-brown or dark amber. Light catches the upper edge of each wave and creates twisted streaks of brighter color over the surface while the troughs appear darker by comparison.
