I'm looking at migrating from my #11ty setup from #Cloudflare Pages to Workers and as far as I can tell it's strictly a downgrade for static site use cases?

Lots of added complicated configuration code, no automatic branch deployments—or automatic any deployments for that matter; I have to add GitHub Actions code to automate deployments now.

Is there any reason for me to actually do this migration?

@harris Yeah, I tend to agree. Pages is a very neat product, but the strong Cloudflare messaging is that Workers are where the future focus will be.

I have a few notes here: https://benwhite.com.au/blog/pages-to-workers/

You can also trigger automated builds: https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers/ci-cd/builds/

I'm doing a bit more stuff at the edge these days, and using bindings for various Cloudflare services, so I'm seeing the benefit of moving over to Workers.

Happy to try and help if you end up doing the migration and run into issues!

@d3v1an7 Thank you! I did come across your blog post and it was very helpful! But when I realized I was about to lose some features if I didn’t recode them I put the project on hold 😅 I’ll probably return to it and get back to you later!
