So in my recent wanderings through window manager land while setting up my Macbook Pro 2009 with Arch and Sway, I've been reading a lot about just how much anger there is at #Nvidia over their proprietary drivers for #Linux.
And I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how much ofthat anger is just "Proprietary drivers BAD!" and much much is actual issues with the technical/architectural decisions the engineers behind those proprietary drivers made.
Because, sturm and drang about the evils of binary blobs aside, a HUGE chunk of the rest of the world runs Nvidia hardware, and if what we want is more Linux adoption, making it easy for them to run Linux would be GOOD, right?
What am I missing?
