I love kit computers. #RC2014, SC500, whatever. They're all great.
But they all share one great big annoyance: Putting them in a case. I hate how much work it is to find or fabricate a suitable enclosure. And I'm comfortable with tools.

I should design a microATX backplane for #RC2014.
Something like, take VersaTerm [1] as a basis, and put those electronics on a larger board with an 80-pin RCbus backplane, and an ATX power connector, and a microcontroller thing to handle the power switch.
