I am incredibly delighted and impressed to see the domain access subscription feature in #GoToSocial - allowing admins to subscribe to a domain list for allowing or denying domains, and - more importantly - processing retractions when those lists remove an entry 馃挴

If you are building federated services, please review this feature set:

https://docs.gotosocial.org/en/v0.20.1/admin/domain_permission_subscriptions/

Additionally heartened to see NLNet funding @gotosocial for the addition of new moderation and federation features - congrats!

@iftas @gotosocial unless I'm reading over it: there is no way to subscribe and just 'approve' the updates?
Because while I can see the advantages of automatically updating, I think if you have an admin but actually cares and has the time, it would be better to have it be "hey, here are the changes since you last got the updated list, which of these would you like to apply" instead of auto applying all of them

@iftas @gotosocial iirc, this is built using CSV diffing, much like we did in FediCheck originally

@thisismissem @gotosocial I especially like the priority system, and the orphan system. Really well thought-out, and can only get better with more real-word usage and more eyes on.

@iftas @gotosocial I might have to take another look, it's been a while since I read the code to it. One day I'll finish up a first version of FIRES which could probably plug into this quite easily

@iftas @gotosocial though this is largely the UI I've been trying to encourage the development of for other software that wants to integrate third-party data; essentially each federation policy record (domain block or domain allow) needs to keep track of from where it came from initially, and if manually edited store that as well (or change source to local / null)
