LONG SONGS TIME
What are your favourite long songs?
At 9:30 'The Trapeze Swinger' by Iron & Wine absolutely counts as a long song, and is one I adore getting lost in.
My music theory is non-existant, so I can't tell you what it's called when a song is basically a chorus-less loop, but that's what it is, and it's hypnotic.
@DJDarren My first thought was Crises by Mike Oldfield. And sadly, Bat out of Hell by Meat Loaf is *just* under 10 minutes
Every now and then I ponder a Long Songs theme for the radio show, but I like trying to involve as many people as possible. So if everyone suggested a track that was ~10 minutes, I'd play 10 songs in two hours, and a good amount of people would feel left out..
