Any #Wordpress experts able to help me figure out how to change the og:image for the IFTAS blog? I'm using the Nook theme, I have a Site Logo set in the site editor, Jetpack is enabled (.com business plan).

I have a 1200x630 image ready to use, but nowhere to set it - looks like instead there's a pre-determined auto-created image from s0.wp.com and nowhere to change it.

I cannot edit the theme directly (hosted service), and I prefer not using a bloated plugin...

A visual display of how the open graph is being rendered for a preview card. A vertical slice of the Site Logo is used in the left hand third of the image, the right hand two thirds is a black background with the site name in white text.

I'm looking at Head & Footer Code plugin but before I activate it seems to me this will simply add a second og:image meta tag of my choosing, it won't overwrite the baked-in (I think from Jetpack) existing tag.

@pfefferle @iftas I'm on mobile, but can check tomorrow too. If the OG tags are coming from Jetpack, this filter is likely a fair place to start. https://developer.jetpack.com/hooks/jetpack_open_graph_image_default/

@kraft @pfefferle I can shoehorn that in with a Code Snippets plugin, will try that, thanks!

@kraft @pfefferle

looks like https://developer.jetpack.com/hooks/jetpack_images_get_images/ did the trick, at least I can see the meta tag is updated now.

Will see what shows up on the next post published, thank you!

Filters the array of images that would be good for a specific post. This filter is applied after options ($args) filter the original array.

@iftas @pfefferle typically, the site icon should be one of the built-in fallbacks by default so I'd want to look once I'm on a computer to see if another plugin is providing OG tags or what's happening... But yeah, either way, between @pfefferle and I, we'll get ya in the right direction.

@kraft @pfefferle lol, now it's no image, but way more readable, so maybe I'll leave it...

@pfefferle wow, well, that would be amazing 😀

FYI, I added a new custom post type using Yada Wiki, when I added it as a federate-able post type it started federating previous posts, caught me by surprise. Possibly related to adding a "modified date" plugin.
