FUCK "CIVILITY"
too often is civility used as a cudgel to punish queers for speaking up against mistreatment
you expect us to be model minorities and never "make waves" and never get a little annoyed or upset or hurt when someone disrespects us or invalidates our identity
but that person who misgendered us or said something lowkey transphobic or whatever is totally okay saying the bullshit they said because you're too fucking blinded by your own privilege to see the hostility in it
it's the classic case of a bully slyly provoking you to respond so you get in trouble with the teacher
