Apple has started shipping servers from its new plant in Houston, marking a major step toward the region’s potential to become an AI hub. Apple said the 250,000-square-foot facility in North Houston, originally slated to open next year, started operations ahead of schedule.

@dsilverman Please note that Apple is not raising the US GDP here in any way, they are building servers only for "inhouse" usage, actually in a partnership, with Taiwan's Foxconn.

Wonder if the good jobs are all reserved for Taiwanese expats?

(Another detail left out in this #Trump laudatio is that the valuable parts of the value chain, the M5 SoC/CPU are manufactured in Taiwan. Assembling the boxes in the US does not make them US servers.)
