Good morning Fedi friends!
I know this is not the right place to ask for this but I'm in need of a Jiminy Cricket / voice of reason to talk me out of something I am sooo tempted to do:
1) buy a new domain name (to be fair it would be a good move to secure it, can't explain why till I do)
2) set up my own Sharkey instance with it (no need for this whatsoever except that I'm impossibly smitten with it)... to use this as a private little instance to interact with friends / contacts.
I can't get Sharkey out of my mind, help 😆

@elena There’s no such thing as talking you out of getting something as meaningful as a fresh domain. Got more than I really need myself and no regrets. It’s all about flexibility and security of communication, not one domains carries any www info. Curious to see what you will do with it, might be an option or simply more than I need. Go for it!! 🥳🥰
