Can anyone recommend a user guide for #OpenStreetMap or maybe a migration guide from Google Maps?

Everything I can find is either for contributors or data scientists, & I just want to use it on my phone for navigating in my area & places I visit. To be honest, parts of it aren't hugely intuitive which would be fine if I could find a decent guide but I'm struggling.

Hiya!
What app are you using?

The default openstreetmap.org web GUI isn't the best to use on mobile.

Most android apps are pretty straighforward to use.

On Android i use @organicmaps, but there's also @CoMaps (there's some political difference, but the data they use is the same).

On Android, you can also use something called GeoShare (https://f-droid.org/packages/page.ooooo.geoshare/) that converts other links to OSM links.

Does that help?

@chewie @organicmaps @CoMaps Thanks. I'm using OsmAnd. The basics are easy but I feel like I'm missing something more advanced, like I'm missing a trick to "level up" & make it more useful to me. That said, maybe it's just not the app for me & I should try another, like OrganicMaps.

@NudelnAlDente @organicmaps @CoMaps a long time ago, I did try osmand, and there wasn't much other choice. It was good, but when maps.me came out, I thought it was a lot more polished, and then I found organicmaps, the more "open" one, I switched to that, and I haven't regretted it.

@chewie @NudelnAlDente @organicmaps @CoMaps I think this is the way to go. I have Organic Maps and Osmand on my phone and both of them seem pretty easy to use.
