For as long as I can remember as far powering in the Nation, Blue States have been the givers, and Red States were the takers, About 7 years ago we drove through Mississippi where there was a highway project, a sign said the State contributed 7M and the FedGov 22M.
And no, with the xfer of income to the FedGov for #Humpty to pilfer, this would definitely push this overthrow towards a resolution. No (Asshole) King.

This would have NO effect on anything. The government of the US does not rely on tax income to fund its operations, it ORIGINATES currency ("prints"). As long as that money was in escrow it would have the exact same effect on the economy as tax payments (that is, it would prevent inflation). Ideas like this only work in a world where the federal govt doesn't originate currency. #MMT describes what happens when it does.
