Members of a pro-Palestine group - not one proscribed by the state - have had a personal bank account shut down.

This is chilling - both the fact that it has happened and the fact that it has happened without any explanation.

Even worse, it's clear that people aren't considered to have any right to an explanation despite the impact something like this has on their lives.

A financial institution can just shut down someone's bank account and say 'we have reasons' without having to state what those reasons are.

If you don't know why your account is being closed you can't challenge it because you don't know what you need to challenge.

And these people are not even members of Palestine Action.
