"We had just come home from my parents house for Xmas dinner. I flipped on the lights in our bedroom and heard a pop and saw a flash of light behind my dresser and all the lights went out in the house.

My wife and I pulled the dresser out from against the wall to see what happened. I had a plug in adapter that sits flush against the wall plugged into the outlet. There were scorch marks about 8 inches up the wall. I pulled the adapter out and sitting on the two prongs for the plug was that dime. This all happened within a fraction of a second.

My cat would play hockey with coins that I would put on top and she made one hell of a lucky shot behind the dresser. Thank god we had a whole house breaker that cut the power to the house when this happened.

I decided to keep the coin. Someday when I die and my daughter is trying to sell my collection to a dealer, I hope they get a chuckle out of it"
