I'm currently reading Greg Egan's 'Axiomatic', a collection of excellent #SciFi short stories, and I'm dumbfounded by how accurately prescient some of them are when it comes to #AI and its social implications. I keep going back to the last page to check that, yes, they were published in the 90s.

Greg Egan's 'Axiomatic' book on a wooden table. The art cover features a closeup of what appears to be a grey sculpture of a human head, and a barcode overlaid on it.
