This makes me very sad, and it's horrible that pharmacists have to be in the front line of this mess.

Covid boosters really ought to be free to everyone who wants them.

The government says it's not cost effective, and yet they also moan that they spend too much money on sickness benefits (which they deliberately ignore in their cost effectiveness calculations). Can they really not join the dots?

And I see there's a classic anti-vax fallacy from the JVCI in that article:

'The JCVI said Covid was now a "relatively mild disease for most people", with rates of hospitalisation and death having "reduced significantly".'

Yes, that's true. And do you know why it's true?

Because we've been vaccinating people, that's why.

What do you think is going to happen if we stop vaccinating?

Very few people die of measles these days, but we still vaccinate against it to make sure it stays that way.
