If we were to do a regular online Fediverse meeting —

(Maybe once a month.)

WHAT DAYS OF THE WEEK WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO ATTEND?

A regular (online) meeting for Fediverse developers, for those who care about the Fediverse as a social movement, and for those who care about the success of the Fediverse.

Sunday?
Monday?
Tuesday?
Wednesday?
Thursday?
Friday?
Saturday?

(You can pick more than one day)

PLEASE REPLY WITH YOUR ANSWER.

@reiver This actually sounds like a lot of fun!

I’m normally available every Friday, every other Saturday, and every Sunday.

@reiver You might recall @andypiper and I tried to do a monthly fediverse developer meetup for a while, and whilewe did, but couldn’t sustain it. Would be great to revive something like it!
Any time compatible with my time zone would be fine.

@j12t @reiver @andypiper maybe time it to be after the monthly SWICG meeting? As a way to encourage folks into that space?

@reiver

If you're asking for my personal best suited, er, it's actually Friday but there is a very much "for now" appendix to that.

The others could all work, particularly if it were a monthly drop-in, it would have to fit around some standing "3rd Monday" or "4th Wednesday" sorts of things.

@reiver you know the Social Web Community Group of the W3C meets once per month, right?

@evan

I did not know that.

Although, now that you mentioned it, I think I recall you and others posting about it before.

...

What are the Social Web Community Group meetings like?

(Is there a format to them?)

@reiver A lot of it has been focusing on the kinds of things standards org do — chartering working groups producing reports, getting consensus on prioritization for standards work going forward etc. But there are also community updates and things like that.

What @andypiper and I tried to do was more a developer networking kind of meeting, where new developers can ask questions, or people can show off what they are currently working on. Not FediForum-style “product demos” but “look at this piece of code that I got to work this week” kind of show and tells.

Happy to team up on something like this, maybe @andypiper is still up to it, too.

I think this could be a good format — ActivityPub Office Hours!

@reiver okay! So it's pretty focused on W3C stuff -- the standard and extensions. But there are also discussions of tools, events, and so on. I think it might be more of a complement than a replacement for the event you're planning.
