When you think about it, writing is just lossy compression for thoughts. Reading is decoding and reconstructing thoughts from lossy compressed ones.

When you write for an audience, you need to have a good idea of what their decoding and reconstructing module can do.

When writing with empathy for your audience, it’s very close to telepathy. It’s sharing information between air gapped brain.

We’re capable of doing such cool things when we take a moment to appreciate it!

@thibaultamartin And then you add another layer of lossy compression when you generate the text using a prompt to an LLM and the receiver asks an LLM to summarize it. 😉

@thibaultamartin Reading is a hallucinogen so...

I always found the reading/writing process to be far more mind expanding than other substances. Those moments when words on the page make something click in your brain are the ultimate high.
