My current survey, open to everyone of any gender, in any location: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdb0-hKaa5UReHFbAIx9fywyI3uDBDfW5sQMwd2eOtK3AhqfA/viewform

So far, 1,343 responses, 58% (776) of which haven't heard of the Gender Census (good!). I'm aiming for 1,000 people who haven't heard of the Gender Census, so any shares are very much appreciated, especially if it boosts the survey out of my usual extremely nonbinary circle.

Also, you can spy on some incoming public stats here without causing survey problems: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1owsmN_dSGNV2T0DSAsHzKIqRd09AIiDEr0Ik0sOYdks/edit

2025-09 Demographics survey

Google Docs

Brief demographic survey

Who can take part? Literally anyone and everyone is invited to participate. What does it ask? A few basic demographic questions. The form does not collect any identifying information that I have access to, such as your name, email address, specific location, etc. All questions are optional. Most are checkboxes/radio buttons, with some optional textboxes that I think most people will be able to skip. How long does it take? Under 5 minutes. Who are you? Just a random internet person who likes doing surveys. No academic background, no professional qualifications, no ethics review. What will you do with my data? If I get over 1,000 responses, I will do a little bit of statistical analysis on the responses. Then I'll write it all up and put it in a blog post with some graphs. I will make the entire spreadsheet of responses public, so that other people can also analyse the data in their own way. What is the goal? I want to learn more about how likely particular demographic details are to occur in relation to each other.

It's super frustrating not being able to tell you the goal of the survey! I am really looking forward to writing up the report. :D
