We found mystery wood in the basement that was so nasty that we need to sand it in order to see what sort of reclaimed plywood nonsense we're dealing with.
If this works out, future generations of clowns can sit comfortably on garbage in the library.
A couple of hours of sanding later...it's wood, and it's good!
Lots of patching up to do next. Then we'll have materials for the bench seat.
