I've reached an age where friends start dying off one by one, until I become one of them.

I've lost at least 5 friends around my age in the last 5 years, 1 a year. Good people who deserved to live to 100 or longer. More than half didn't even make it to 50. One just last week.

#RIP Gull.

It's not fair. But life can be like that.

As Chuck Palahniuk put it in his novel Fight Club;

"On a long enough timeline. The survival rate for everyone drops to zero."

We are all mortal. What matters is not how it ends, or when, but what we do with the time we have.

@strypey I'm sorry to hear that! I'm 25 years old, but already lost a friend, to suicide... Life indeed can be unfair to us, and mortality is a big component of this. The thing is being mature and strong about it, or at least trying! Cheers from Brazil!
