Anyway, I guess it is time for another reminder that any analysis that doesn't at least consider the possibility that white people are being deliberately racist and xenophobic, and that the things they tell journalists when interviewed on the streets is just their justification for it is fatally flawed.
It may be the lie they tell themselves, or it may just be the lie they tell anyone not part of their in-crowd, but that is what it is.
This is not about them 'not feeling heard' or whatever. It is about them being mad that their bigoted behaviour is being called out. They feel unsafe because they can no longer count on not being held accountable when they are assholes.
