Australia’s main grid hits new renewable record share of 77.9 per cent, driven by rooftop solar – the second time in 48 hours that the record has been broken.
Driven by large amounts of rooftop solar generation, which on this occasion accounted for more than 43 % of grid demand.
The share might have been higher but large amounts, five GW– of potential large scale wind and solar output was curtailed, mostly due to negative prices.
